Biking the Virginia Coast
I spent a lot of time sweating through rolling hills in farm country past countless riding lawn mowers in action.
Not as much swampy areas, but there was some. Tons of "George Washington bit his lip here" etc historic markers.
And thick forests full of .... MOSQUITOS!!
The bike route is marked with signs throughout, but the actual lane is absent in many areas.
Also had 40 miles of beautiful isolated bike trail up to Richmond, and another 20 miles from Mount Vernon to the Washington Mall. That was spectacular!
