Biking through North Carolina
We left Myrtle Beach with golf cart sales and service on every block next to the giant beach wear super discount stores and elaborate mini golf courses and entered North Carolina - rural and agricultural.
There is a lot of undeveloped land here. Lots of swamp and forest. I took several ferries and crossed a lot of bridges.
The highlight is definitely the
Outer Banks and Cape Hatteras. We went to the Wright Brothers Memorial in Kitty Hawk on Peter's birthday. The Wright brothers were interesting and the memorial park is worth seeing.
There is a lot of decay in the rural areas, but the beaches and dunes are beautiful.
I saw roadkill alligators and got bit by more mosquitos.
