South Carolina

Biking through South Carolina

It was humid, hot, and best of all, still FLAT!  Yay!

South Carolina is green and full of forest.  We spent two days sightseeing in Charleston where there is lots of history and they know how to capitalize on tourism.  Charleston claims they developed tourism before there was a word for it.

There are lots of Confederate flags and lots of help wanted signs and construction going on.

We camped every night and talked to a lot of locals.  Everyone has an accent and we only met friendly people wherever we went.  Tried the famous shecrab soup (delicious) and finally got boiled peanuts (two thumbs enthusiastically down).

I saw dead alligators on the road, but no live ones.

No flat tires in SC!
